Get Help

We operate a self-referral system at Worth Valley Food Bank. That means that you can contact us directly to request help; you don't need to approach any other organisation.

The area we cover is the Worth Valley Electoral Ward.
For a map of the area we cover see Worth Valley Map.

Just call us on 07704 586030 on Monday, Tuesday or Friday mornings between 9 am and 12 midday, or call in on Tuesday before 2.45pm, or email us: haworthfoodbank@gmail.com

We'll need a few basic contact details from you as well as any special dietary needs and allergies. This will help us to provide you with the items you need whenever possible.

Confidentiality

Your personal details will be treated in total confidence, information that you provide will be NOT passed to ANY third party without your permission.

All of our volunteers undergo a DBS check and the information that you give us will be kept securely in paper format – we don't store your personal details on a computer.

What is in a Food Parcel?

It depends on how many adults, children and pets are in your household. We'll adjust the quantities to suit your needs.

A typical basic food bag will contain the following:

There are toiletries, washing powder, cleaning products, condiments and pet food on request.

The food bags will vary depending on the individual and size of family but should provide meals for about 3 days.

How Long Will it Take?

If you call in to see us (Tuesdays 1.00 - 2.45 pm) we can usually provide you with a food bag there and then.

If you contact us by phone or email then a food bag should be ready for you to collect on the following Tuesday.

What if I can't get to the Food Bank?

If you have mobility/transport issues or can't get to the food bank for any other reason then we may be able to arrange a delivery for you.

If you are getting your food bag delivered, then it's ESSENTIAL that you provide us with a phone number so that we can contact you on the day of delivery. Our delivery volunteers provide their transport at their own cost, so we need to avoid unnecessary trips.
